09/13/2022: Tutorial Placeholders

Another new feature is in the works: Tutorials! I want to be able to share how I installed mods, CFW, and other tools onto my N3DS and Switch if I'm going to make Let's Plays with those features. I figure that everyone can play games out of the box, but modding games gives my Let's Plays an extra reason to watch. I love watching mod showcases, and I want to share a more unique experience with potential viewers.

When will they be out?

Like so many things on this site, it's going to be a while. I don't have a consistent schedule planned because this is my first time doing anything like this, so I don't know how long it will take. I've got time to start on this project, but I don't want to make any promises that I can't keep. A lot of this site is very much so under construction, so patience is greatly appreciated. I don't even know if anyone is watching, but if you can read this, thanks for being cool!

Modding and Let's Plays

Like I mentioned, there will likely be some Let's Plays that have mods on them, and so I want others to be able to experience whatever chaos we invite upon ourselves with mods. I will do my best to include links to the mods used, tutorials on how to install them, and a brief description on what they do. There's also some universally applicable mods, like CFW on N3DS and Switch to be able to install mods in the first place. If I ever do a modded Stardew Valley playthrough, you can bet that SMAPI will get a tutorial here, since that's necessary for all Stardew Valley Mods. I'll also try to include library / API / required mods in the modlist as well, since mods that build off of them won't work without them.

Today's Final Thoughts:

I'm not sure if Today's Final Thoughts will always be at the end here, but I like it for now! It gives me a place to wrap things up, and maybe say something a little cheerful. As you can tell by the fact that I'm going to be compiling tutorials, I love sharing knowledge with people, and I think that it's a great deal of fun! Modding isn't for everyone, and vanilla games are already pretty cool, but sometimes, adding a little extra flair to your experience can be nice. Hopefully, by creating these tutorials and sharing links, other people will be able to enjoy modding, too!
