03/02/2023: 5,000 Views Milestone!
"You like me! You really like me!"
But, seriously, thank you all so much for 5,000+ views! I really appreciate you coming back and seeing what all is happening here! I didn't expect to make it this far; I sort of figured this would be just a tucked-away corner for me to ramble at. It's still going to be that, but I do want to do more rambling. This site has been a little sleepy, but that's okay. I would rather it be a fun hobby I occasionally check in on rather than a job. Nothing kills fun more than a schedule. With that said, I hope you'll tune in whenever new stuff comes along! I'll be keeping the right sidebar up-to-date, and there's always the new Archive feature to check out.
At the moment, I'm a little torn between adding new sections to the site or polishing up old sections / adding more content. It may feel like an obvious choice to the readers, but my mind often wanders, and maybe having new sections to keep new things would be a good way to handle that. I recently released The Advanced Guide to Pokemon Breeding, but that one had been in the works for a while. I just needed a few finishing touches to send it off. If I have more outlets, maybe there would be more projects going on at once. It's hard to say.
One thing that I know I want to do more is this blog. I do enjoy talking about things that catch my interest, but I think it's a little intimidating to be so free form. Early on, I had this "Final Thoughts" section that was meant to be an uplifting final message -- a point to the story. However, I began to think that that would come across as preachy, or at least a little soapy. In person, I don't tend to wax poetic; I'm a bit coarse and I swear like a sailor. But in writing, I like to use vocab that I never get a chance to use. As a result, since this is meant to be off-the-cuff, I didn't want to come across as inauthentic.
I still try to keep an upbeat tone to these. I just don't have an end ramble. I think I just need to take what worked for me with the formula (routine, some direction, etc.) and find something that works with what I want to do (authentic talks about something that I find interesting). I do find it funny in some way that a lot of these entries are about how I'm going to blog more, and then I never do.
To combat this curse, I bid you adieu from THE LAST BLOG POST EVER. *Wink* I'll see you when I next see you!
