Aprimon Intro
CA: I collect Pokemon in rare Poke Balls that, in canon, are often made from
Apricorns.
CA: These Poke Balls are sometimes called "Apriballs" by members of the Pokemon trading community, though I find that other rare Poke Balls that aren't made from Apricorns are sometimes included in this category, including Beast Balls, Dream Balls, Safari Balls, and Sport Balls.
CA: Generally speaking, I feel like the "Apriball" category is usually a term for any Poke Balls that can't be bought in the Poke Mart and it's a category to be contrasted with "Shop Balls," which describe the Poke Balls that can be bought.
CA: I always try to get a Pokemon with its Hidden Ability if the species has one, since Hidden Abilities can only be passed down by Pokemon that have their HA.
CA: Pokemon in Apriballs with their HA are sometimes referred to by the shorthand HA Aprimon.
CA: I also try to include up to 4 Egg Moves, or EMs, which are moves that are inherited from the Pokemon's parents.
CA: Often, these EMs are moves that the Pokemon's species cannot learn though leveling up, Move Tutoring, or Technical Machines.
CA: Below, I have included a copy of my spreadsheet which shows off my current HA Aprimon collection.

Trading Community
CA: I tend to trade on the subreddit r/PokemonTrades which has a number of rules to prevent scamming
and tools to help new traders.
CA: You can check their About section, the Rules, the FAQ with explanations of different frequently used jargon, and the Beginner's Guide to start trading with the wider community!
CA: There are several Collection Templates to help keep track of what Pokemon you have and keep the list organized in a semi-standardized way that helps others navigate your collection.
CA: I use the Multigen Aprimon Tracker created by u/iSlaiter based on a template originally created by u/Foxlery and u/Knightincodes with resources by u/dempom and u/IceFangs.
CA: I'm crediting them here, but I'm not linking directly to them to respect their privacy while still giving them their flowers.
CA: If you're starting to trade, don't forget to visit FlareHQ and upgrade your Flair when you reach certain milestones so you can trade for more types of Pokemon!
CA: You need at least a Poke Ball Flair in order to trade for Shiny Pokemon and / or Event Pokemon, both of which need to have full documentation of the Pokemon's Original Trainer (OT), Trainer ID, how the Pokemon was obtained (hatched, caught, traded, or which Event it is from), and other legitimacy information as required from Rules 3 and 10.
CA: It can seem a little intimidating at first, but the community is very friendly and willing to help you every step of the way.
CA: These measures are to help ensure the legitimacy of the Pokemon being traded and prevent scams that can be fairly common with children's games.

Trading for Aprimon
CA: Pokemon that are able to be bred to produce
Pokemon Eggs are called "breedables" and tend to be the least valuable since you
can relatively easily obtain more Pokemon that are fairly similar through breeding.
CA: The value of a breedable can be somewhat flexible if the Pokemon has its HA, 4 EMs, and / or good Individual Values (IVs).
CA: Generally speaking, HAs should trade for HAs if the species has an HA, and EMs and IVs are considered a bonus.
CA: Personally, I trade 1:1 for HA Aprimon, meaning that I will trade 1 HA Aprimon for 1 HA Aprimon that I don't have currently in my collection.
CA: However, if the Pokemon has perfect IVs in every Stat, often called having 6 IVs, then that Pokemon is very high-value since its offspring are very likely to also have good IVs.
CA: I tend to keep all of my 6 IV Pokemon and I happily trade 5 IV Pokemon both to give back to the community and because I have the resources at this point to breed out more 5 IV offspring from most Pokemon I get in a trade.
CA: Because the rare Poke Balls are hard to find and can be used to catch any Pokemon that you don't have in your collection, the Poke Balls themselves often trade for high prices.
CA: This isn't a hard-and-fast rule, but I've seen trades for 10 HA Aprimon : 1 Apriball, which can be a steep price for new traders, but the flexibility of the Apriball is often worth the price.
CA: If you're looking to get into collecting Aprimon, there are sometimes giveaways where "big fish" collectors will breed out a lot of HA Aprimon (often through the process of Shiny hunting) and give away the excess offspring for free.
CA: You will need to have a "garbage mon," or a Pokemon that you're okay with getting rid of in order to trade for the Pokemon being given away, and you will need to follow any additional giveaway or contest rules as stated in the thread, but these tend to be simple instructions and getting at least one Aprimon is a good start for a collection.
CA: Trading with others who are just starting as well is a great way for both of you to add to your respective collections and help out the community!
CA: I highly encourage doing giveaways once you have a stockpile of Aprimon to contribute to the cycle of new collectors.
CA: If you're looking for a quick-ish goalpost, try collecting your favorite First Partner Pokemon in every Apriball!
CA: First Partner Pokemon are very popular in the trading community, so there's a good chance that other people are also collecting your favorite Pokemon.
CA: In the same way that they were likely your introduction to Pokemon, maybe the First Partner Pokemon could be your introduction to collecting!
